Read more on why we need an extra mutuality document for glasses & lenses

Updated over a year ago

In order for us to calculate the reimbursement for your glasses or lenses, we need an overview of reimbursements from your mutuality. Here is why. πŸ‘‡

Your mutuality often offers a reimbursement for the purchase of glasses or lenses through their so-called 'mutuality advantages'.

What's a mutuality advantage? πŸ’‘

Mutuality advantages are additional benefits or reimbursements that you receive from your mutuality, beyond their legal health insurance reimbursements.

So even if you didn't explicitly ask for an extra insurance with them, you'll still receive these advantages, simply for being affiliated with them. Cool, right? πŸš€

πŸ‘‰ This is why we need a reimbursement overview of your mutuality.

In case you haven't requested a reimbursement from them, we highly suggest you to do this. We reimburse 80% of the amount that remains after intervention of the mutuality. Your total out-of-pocket costs will be lower if you request both reimbursements.

You're only one step away from getting more money back. πŸ’Έ

What do you need to do?

1️⃣ In case your mutuality offers this mutuality advantage:

  • Send your invoice to your mutuality & wait for their reimbursement.

  • Download the reimbursement overview from the online portal of your mutuality.

2️⃣ In case your mutuality does not offer this mutuality advantage:

  • Contact them to request a letter of refusal.

... after that, you can upload it inside your Alan app and we will proceed with your reimbursement request as soon as possible. πŸ“±

Thank you for this extra effort!

"My mutuality only reimburses these advantages, every two years"

πŸ‘‰ In this case, you can send us proof of the most recent reimbursement for glasses or lenses you have received from them. πŸ’Œ
