How to declare a future or current hospitalization.

Updated over a year ago

💡 If you're going to the hospital for a consultation, or simple examination (e.g. ultrasound, x-ray etc.), you don't need to register this as it's not considered a hospitalization.

👉 The best thing to do is to declare the hospitalization as soon as you can in your Alan app, so we can take the necessary steps and make sure the hospital sends the bills to us directly.

Here’s how to declare a hospitalization ⤵️

  • Click on ‘Prepare a care’

  • Select ‘Hospitalization’

  • Choose between ‘Childbirth / Diseases / Examination / Accident / Sterilization / Fertility treatment’

  • Select the duration of your stay (at least one night OR in and out on the same day)

  • Describe the reason for your hospitalization

  • Choose the hospital

  • Enter the date of admission

  • Send us your declaration

... we will take care of the rest!

What happens next ? 🔍

Once your hospitalization declaration has been approved ⤵️

  • We'll contact the hospital to make sure they send the bill directly to us, so you don't have to worry about advancing fees or administration 👍

  • On the day of your admission: you can confirm this coverage with the hospital by showing your Assurcard number to the desk clerk (to be found under the Profile tab in your app).
