To make things smoother for you, here are all the things you should know to declare your expected due-date in the app ⤵️
Before your admission 🏡
You should notify us of your expected delivery date via the app, following these steps :
Click on “Prepare a Care”
Select “Hospitalization”
Then “Childbirth” 🍼
💡 Why do we need this information? This information is needed to approve your declaration upfront & activate your pre- / post-hospitalization coverage period.
During your admission 🏥
On the day of your hospitalization, all you have to do is show your AssurCard number to the receptionist (in the Alan app, under the Profile tab) when you register. The hospital can then arrange for the bill to be sent directly to Alan. You do not have to pay a deposit.
You can choose between a single or shared room. Luxury rooms or suites are not covered. 🛏
Non medical costs such as hygiene products, TV, telephone, internet, accommodation and meals of the partner, are not covered ❌
🚨 Depending on your coverage, a personal contribution for single rooms may apply. Don’t hesitate to contact us via the chat in your app to know more.
After your admission 🐣
You can easily add your newborn to your Alan coverage in the app. Go to the profile section and click on the + sign 👶
Medical expenses in the 30 days before and 90 days after your hospital stay can be reimbursed at 100% if they are related to the delivery (and covered by Alan 😉)
💊 For prescribed medication, simply scan your Assurpharma card (under the Profile tab in the app) at the pharmacy. The pharmacy will take care of sending us the eBVAC (electronic invoice), so you don't have to upload anything in the app! Click here for more information.
🩺 Doctor's notes and invoices for other medical care can easily be uploaded via the app, under the Get reimbursed button.
